Wilson Brevard Moore

Wilson Brevard Moore, age 82 of Laurinburg passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020.

Wilson was born March 17, 1938 in Chesterfield County, SC, son of the late Eugene T. Moore and Geneva Tucker Moore. He retired after many years of service as a manager with Todd’s Tire. He enjoyed attending the East Laurinburg Baptist Church. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed wood working in his leisure. Wilson was a devoted family man who loved sharing time with each of them, especially his grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Bobby Moore, and sister-in-law, Gaye Moore.

Wilson is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Peggy Hardy Moore of the home; son, Jamie Moore (Liana Lewis); daughter, Cindy Bacot (Bernie); brother, Frank Moore (Sybil), all of Laurinburg; grandchildren, Bryan Hardee, Ashley Gibson, Brooke Carter, Mary Moore Bender; eight great grandchildren, and a host of many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2020 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
