Willie Lee Hunt, Jr.

Willie Lee Hunt of Maxton, NC passed away at the age of 55 on December 25, 2025.

He was born August 1, 1970 in Bennettsville, South Carolina, the loving son of Mary Jane Hunt and the late Willie Lee Hunt, Sr. Willie was a valued employee of Scotland County for many devoted years. He truly enjoyed being outdoors, especially riding his four-wheeler, going fishing, and hunting. Willie will be dearly missed and remembered for his love and devotion to his family and friends.

Along with his father, he is preceded in death by sister Sarah Hunt.

Left to rejoice in his memory are sons, Willie Davis Hunt, III of Bennettsville, SC, Willie Jr. Hunt of Maxton; companion, Tabitha Faye Hunt of the home; mother, Mary Jane Hunt; brothers, Joshua Hunt of Maxton, Johnny Hunt of High Point, James Lee Hunt of Florence, SC, James David Hunt (Denise) of Fayetteville, John Ray Hunt of Little Rock, SC; sisters, Martha Page (Antron) of Latta, SC, Annie Hunt of Dillon, SC, Myra Cousar (Clifton) of Little Rock, SC, Crystal Hunt of Columbia, SC; and grandchildren, Braylen Hunt and Chase Hunt; along with a host of loving extended family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Leland Grove Freewill Church with burial following in the church cemetery. 

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel.
