William Shaw Driggers was born September 27, 1931, son of the late Edward Boyd Driggers and Ethel Sessoms Driggers. He was a Veteran who proudly served our country in the United States Army, then working many years in the manufacturing business. William was an avid golf fan who loved playing and watching golf. He also enjoyed yard sales, going to the beach, and was a collector of coins and baseball cards. William will be missed by his family and friends. He passed away at the age of 90 on December 29, 2021.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Johnny “Mutt” Driggers, Floyd Driggers, Clarence Driggers; sisters, Margaret “Peggy” Maye and Geraldine Robinson.
William is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Driggers, Jerry Driggers, Michael Driggers, all of Ohio; brother, Clyde Driggers of Denver, NC; sister, Wanda Johnson of Laurinburg, along with his extended family and many friends.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. January 2, 2022 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow in King Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service on Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
