William "Billy" Carl Davis

William "Billy" Carl Davis, age 69 of Bennettsville, SC passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019.

Billy was born November 9, 1949 in Darlington, SC, son of Jeanette King Davis and the late William Carl “Dub” Davis. He married the love of his life, Bobbie Sue on June 9, 2001, sharing 27 wonderful years together. He served as a member of Second Baptist Church and worked many years as a self employed general contractor. He loved to build and making others happy with his work. Billy enjoyed camping, fishing and was an avid South Carolina Gamecock fan. Every Saturday, he loved to take his wife on a date by going to yard sales and lunch. To his family, he will be remembered as a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Along with his father, he is preceded in death by a grandson, Chris Bristow.

He leaves behind his wife, Bobbie Sue Peele Davis of the home; sons, Kendall Davis (Amy) of York, SC, Bryan Davis (Elizabeth) of Florence, SC; daughters, Tessa Graham (John) of Hartsville, SC, Melissa Gause (Jimmy), Becky Hampton Talbert, all of Bennettsville, SC; his mother, Jeanette King Davis and sister, Joyce Gandy (Lawrence), all of Darlington, SC;  grandchildren, Ashley, Alyse, Kadryn, Nicole, Timothy, Chelsey, Hartley; great grandchildren, Remington, Bryslen, Kinsley, Lakin; his former son-in-laws, Jud Talbert (Becca) and Dennis Odom (Maria), along with a host of loving family and many friends.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 9, 2019 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by Pastor Denny Costner, Brother Richard Peele and Pastor Kendall Williams. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be prior to the service on Sunday beginning at 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
