William "Bill" Prescott Miller

William “Bill” Prescott Miller of Laurel Hill, NC departed this life at the age of 80 on Sunday, August 20, 2023. He was born December 25, 1942 in Peekskill, NY, one of five children of the late William Miller and the late Winifred Chase Miller.

Bill retired after many years of service from the Campbell Soup Company. He served as a member of the Laurel Hill Baptist Church. Bill loved being outdoors camping, bird watching, and his many travels throughout the United States. He was a talented musician and loved playing the trombone. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose greatest joy came from time spent with his family. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory is wife, Linda Schlotter Miller of the home; son, William “Will” Miller (Chassy) of Gallatin, TN, Joshua “Josh” P. Miller of Hickory; daughters, Jennifer Fore (Chris) of Laurel Hill, Katherine “Katie” Williams (Todd) of Laurinburg; brothers, Gilbert Miller of Laurel Hill, Larry Miller of Hopewell Junction, NY; sisters, Linda Iaciofano of New York, Margery Brown of Arizona;  grandchildren, Lauren Miller, Emily Miller, Evelyn Miller, Zachary Fore, Jude Fore, Jonah Fore, and Grace Williams; along with many loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

The memorial service to celebrate his life will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel followed by a time of visitation for family and friends.
