William Aaron Brock, Sr.

Mr. William Aaron Brock, Sr., passed away peacefully on March 19, 2023 after a long illness.  He was 89 years old born June 23, 1933 in Lumberton, North Carolina. Brock proudly served in the United States Navy on the USS Forrestal.  He later retired from L.O.F. Glass, Inc., after 25 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed discussing politics and sports, was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and the late Dale Earnhardt. 

Brock was the son of the late Gilbert Brock and Lydia Moore Brock of Lumberton.  Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, and his wife of 61 years, Jean Roller Brock.

He is survived by his son, William Aaron “Buddy” Brock, Jr., (Beverly) of Laurel Hill; daughters, Kathy Brock Dezearn (Darren) of Greensboro, Ruby Frances Brock Dial (Ricky) and JoAnn Brock Seals (Mark) both of Laurinburg; thirteen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the nursing staff of the NC State Veterans Home in Fayetteville, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to Scotland Regional Hospice, P.O. box 1033, Laurinburg, NC  28353 in memory of William and Jean Brock.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2023 in Hillside Memorial Park.  Family will receive friends following the service at graveside.
