Wendy Locklear Obituary

Wendy Locklear, lovingly called Baby, of Maxton passed away to her Heavenly home Sunday, August 5, 2019 at the age of 35.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at the Little Zion Freewill Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Gene Chavis. Burial will follow in White Hill Church Cemetery.

Wendy was born February 26, 1984 in Robeson County, a loving daughter of Barbara Haggans Lowery and the late Oscar Locklear, Jr.  Before her illness, she worked as a waitress for the Clinton Inn and Greek Village Restaurant.  She enjoyed working puzzles, fishing and watching her favorite television programs. Wendy loved to spend time reading her Bible and writing scripture. Spending time with family was most important to Wendy and she will forever be remembered as a precious, loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend.

Baby leaves behind her mother, Barbara Haggans Lowery of the home; a brother, Thurman Lowery (Crystal); her sisters, Vickie Diaz (Cesar), and Nicky Locklear, all of Maxton, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and a host of loving family and many friends.

A time of visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
