Wanda Joyce Deal Edwards

Wanda Deal Edwards of Laurel Hill departed this life at the age of 61 on November 3, 2024.

She was born March 11, 1963 in Fairmont, NC, loving daughter of Louvertia Deal Oxendine and the late James Edward Deal. Wanda married the love of her life, Kendall Edwards, in May 1986 and together they have shared a wonderful life. She served as a faithful member of Laurel Hill Full Gospel. Wanda enjoyed sewing and creating a warm and welcoming home for her family where they shared many wonderful memories. She was an adored wife, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, loving sister, and friend who will be greatly missed.

Along with her father, she is preceded in death by son, Tony Nelson Deal; and brother, James Authur Deal.

Wanda is survived by her husband, Kendall Edwards of the home; mother, Louvertia Deal Oxendine; one sister, Tina Deal Williams (Danny) of Wallace, SC; six brothers, Robert Deal (Michelle) of Lumberton, Edward Deal (Deborah) of Gibson, Randy Deal (Libby) of Lumberton, Harold Deal and Darrel Deal both of Pennsylvania, and Jerry Deal of Lumberton; two grandsons, Tony Dutch Deal (Sherastin) of Laurel Hill and James Deal of the home; and two great-grandchildren, Gracelyn Dutch and Caleb Dutch; along with many loving extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in the Fair Point Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, Fairmont, NC.

Visitation will be prior to services on Thursday, beginning at 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
