Vivian Cole Stuckey Leichliter, age 89 of Laurinburg passed away Monday, March 30, 2020.
Vivian was born December 28, 1930, a loving daughter of the late Farrist W. Cole and Blanta Carlisle Cole. She worked as the District manager with Tupperware for many years. She was a former member of Central United Methodist Church and New Hope Baptist Church. She served as a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars. To her family, Vivian will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons, Ernest “Michael” Stuckey and Richard Warren Stuckey.
Vivian leaves behind her husband, Alva Gene Leichliter of the home; son, Bryan Wayne Stuckey of Aberdeen and daughter, Donna “Joy” Driggers of Laurinburg; step daughters, Thelma “Ellen” Fowler of Aberdeen, Mary Ann Leichliter-Rice of Garner, Susan Kaye Leichliter of Chapel Hill; brother, Milton “Lonnie” Cole of Ft. Walton Beach, FL.; sister, Sylvia Gottschalk of Fayetteville, Nelma Ciarrocca of Laurinburg, Carol Hunt of Pembroke; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Due to the COVID-19 mandate, a private Graveside service for family only will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 3, 2020 at Laurinburg Memorial Park.
STATE OFFICIALS HAVE MANDATED LIMITING GATHERINGS TO NO MORE THAN 50 PEOPLE. IN ORDER TO KEEP ALL OF OUR FAMILIES SAFE AT THIS TIME, RICHARD BOLES FUNERAL SERVICE WILL ABIDE BY THIS MANDATE.
