On the morning of November 14, 2025, at the age of 90 years old, our beloved Virginia Tucker Hardie was called home to be with her Savior surrounded by the love of her family.
Virginia was the daughter of the late Johnson Kelly Tucker and Rosa Lee Walters Tucker born December 11, 1934 in Laurel Hill, North Carolina. She was the proud wife of a Veteran, the late Roy Junior Hardie, and the Godly loving mother of their four children. She faithfully served Christ in all her ways along with being a devoted member of Northview Harvest Ministries. In addition to being a homemaker, Virginia enjoyed her work cooking with Aramark at WestPoint Stevens, Inc., until her retirement. She enjoyed crocheting and completing word search puzzles. Above all, she loved her family cherishing every moment shared with each of them. She will be remembered as a precious mother, loving grandmother and great grandmother, devoted sister, aunt and friend.
Along with her parents and husband, a son, David Wayne Hardie, and grandson, Roy Junior “BJ” Hardie III preceded her in death.
Mrs. Hardie is survived by her children, daughter, Vickie Hardie Sanford and husband Robert Sanford, Jr., of Laurinburg; sons, Roy “Buddy” Junior Hardie, Jr., and wife Diane Hardie of Laurinburg; William Kelly Hardie and wife Jeanie Hardie of Gibson; daughter-in-law, Susan Hardie of Laurel Hill; her only brother, Johnson Kelly Tucker, Jr., of Laurinburg; adored grandchildren, Christina S. Hood and husband Tim Hood of Marston, Melissa Hardie of Laurinburg; Dana Fraiser and husband Doc Fraiser of Bennettsville, SC, Amber Hardie Reeves and husband Mitch Reeves of Georgia, Jennifer Lynn Lee of Maxton, William Christopher Hardie and wife Courtnee, Kelly Nicole Duran and husband Derik; great grandchildren, Katie and Ryan, Kristy and Devin, Boone and (Tiffany Sou) Overman, Bonnie (Joseph), William (Patty), William Seth, Rorie, Destini, Adrien, Aaron (Camaryn), Michael, Ralph, Alexandria, Caitlyn, Lexie, Marcus, Nicholas, Lillian “Lilly” Grace: great-great grandchildren, Laura, Jacob, Jackson, Jaminson, Asher, Josie, Emmeline, Mason, Jacob, Gabriel, Brice, Luke, Haizley, Zane, Kennedi, Greyson, Brynn, and Baby Girl Dulin expected in February. She also leaves a host of loving extended family and her church family.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025 at Northview Harvest Ministries followed by a graveside committal in Hillside Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to services on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Northview Harvest Ministries.
