Virginia “Jenny” Nutter Boone was born August 28, 1926 in West Virginia, daughter of the late Leonard O. Nutter and Mary Elizabeth Harris Nutter, wife of the late James “Jim” Boone. She was very active in her home church in West Virginia, a Sunday School teacher, youth leader, and volunteer with Meals on Wheels. She was very faithful to visit shut-ins, sick, and the elderly. She also mentored many young people and “adopted” them as her own. Jenny was also a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and The Eastern Star for many years. She loved gardening, traveling, camping, and visited all 50 states throughout her lifetime. She was a homemaker who dedicated her life to family and also fostering children for more than 18 years. Jenny will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She passed away at age 94 on April 14, 2021.
Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Alfreda N. Winnings and Anna N. Daniel.
Jenny leaves behind her daughter, Shari Hudson and husband Tom of Laurinburg; granddaughter, Whitney James, great grandchildren, Parker Allen, Abby Allen; special nieces and nephews, Tina Allard, Cindi and Kurt Helms, Sydney and Skip Fry, Len and Kay Winnings, along with her extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and burial will also be held at a later date.
