Vicky Brisson Taylor

Vicky Brisson Taylor, 69 of Laurinburg, NC, went to her Heavenly home to be with the ones she has missed on Friday, April 22, 2022.

Vicky was born in Dallas, Texas on December 23, 1952 to Virgie Virginio Avant Brisson and Boyd Jasper Brisson.

Laurinburg eventually became her forever home where she established her legacy of being a wife, mother, sister and grandmother.

She was also a self-made and established entrepreneur in Scotland County for over 20 years working with the county and state to establish the first Adult Day Care to provide services to the frail elderly and disabled adults.  She also provided respite to the family members and caregivers who were working and wanted to keep their loved ones at home.  She served hundreds of clients in the community and along the way, developed unwavering and lasting friendships even after retiring to pursue other interest.

After retiring, and enjoying life, she met her soul mate, Jeff Taylor and they eventually married on April 20, 2002.  They shared a true friendship and an undaunting love that was so rare, it was to be admired.

Vicky is survived by her husband, Jeff; son, William Jones of Boone, son, Spencer Jones (Donna) of Asheville; daughter, Lynn Jones-Dennis (Tony) of Laurinburg; son, John Cooper of Laurinburg; son, Howard Cooper (Melissa) of Aberdeen; step daughters, Jennifer Taylor (Travis) of Ringold, GA, Amanda Taylor of Vass and Ashley Crevier (Lee) of Carthage; two sisters, Elaine Doss of Denver, Beth Shaver (Rick) of Lyman, SC and brother, Jack Brisson of Laurinburg; fifteen grandchildren, one great granddaughter and a host of special nieces and nephews.

Vicky was preceded in death by her loving parents; grandson, Tyler Wayne Jones; and brother, Tommy Brisson.

A memorial service to celebrate Vicky’s life will be at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2022 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel.  The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be given to Scotland Regional  Hospice or St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
