Vicky (Scott) Archer

Vicky Lynn Scott Archer of Maxton, passed away on August 3, 2022 at the age of 65. She was born in Scotland County on September 28, 1956 to the late Wade Scott Sr., and Ruby Edwards Scott. She is also preceded in death by her sons, Richard Locklear and B.J. Grooms; brother, Gary Scott; and sister, Brenda Cox.

Vicky was a homemaker and formerly worked at J.P. Stevens. She loved attending and worshiping at Northview Harvest Ministries. She enjoyed watching T.V. and shopping, but most of all loved to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her brothers, Wade Scott, Jr., of Gibson, Randy Scott of Maxton; sister, Linda S. Locklear of Maxton; and her 5 precious grandchildren; along with a host of family, friends, and loved ones.

 A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday August 6, 2022 in the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Pastor Tim Hodges and Pastor Faye Coates.  Visitation will be on Saturday, prior to the service beginning at 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A private interment will be at a later date.
