Troy Sanford McPherson, Jr.

Troy Sanford McPherson, Jr., age 60 of Laurel Hill passed away September 1, 2021.

Troy, lovingly called “Rooster” was born September 3, 1960 in Scotland County, the son of Shirley Norton Stubbs and the late Troy Sanford McPherson, Sr.  He enjoyed his time doing yard work, helping others and living life to the fullest. 

Along with his father, he is preceded in death by brother, James McPherson and sisters, Juanita McPherson, Joyce M. Williams and Jeanette M. Stubbs.

Troy is survived by his mother, Shirley Norton Stubbs; brother, Tony L. McPherson (Ethel) of Hamlet; sister, Cathy M. Barbee (Richard) of Laurinburg; brother-in-law, Richard Stubbs, along with a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 6, 2021 in Hillside Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Richard Stubbs.
