Triston “Trick” Thomas Goins was born August 25, 1997 in Scotland County. He was the son of the late Thomas Odell Goins and Angela Nicole Oxendine. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle and a devoted father that enjoyed spending time with both his family and friends. Triston departed his life suddenly on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at the age of 28. He was a special young man that had a huge heart just like his father. Triston was in touch with his emotions, very loving and respectful, and had an energy that would just draw you in.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Odell Goins; grandparents, Rufus Goins and Jack Oxendine; aunt, Angela Goins; uncle, David Keith Goins.
Triston leaves behind his mother, Angela Nicole Oxendine of Pembroke; his son, Samuel of Lumberton; his younger sister, Hailey Cole Goins and fiancé, Noa Locklear of Maxton; his older sister, Ashton Ariel Goins and fiancé, Dustin Bullard of Pembroke; his girlfriend, Nakia Worriax of Pembroke; his grandmother, Joyce Goins Barton and grandfather, Daryl Barton of Maxton; his grandmother, Mary Frances Oxendine of Laurinburg; his uncles, David Locklear and Keith Oxendine; his three nephews, Zaydon, Zacharius, and Chayton; his two nieces, Chaylen and Chaysley; his childhood friend, James Hunt (Junior) and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2026 at the Abundant Grace Church in Maxton followed by burial in the Helping Hands Ministries Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 29th at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
