Tony Eugene Owens

Tony Eugene Owens, age 58 of Laurinburg passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020.

Tony was born February 11, 1961 in Scotland County, son of Joyce Madden Owens and the late Thomas Owens. He worked many years as Security Guard for Allen’s Investigating Service, alongside subcontracting for Scotland County Recycling Center. He loved raising his specialty chickens, was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed fishing in his leisure. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with each of them.

He is survived by his mother, Joyce M. Owens of Laurinburg; daughter, Ginger M. Owens of Jacksonville, FL; his companion, Cindy Snead of the home; step-son, Stephen Jenkins and step-daughter, Cassie Jenkins, both of Laurinburg; brother, Thomas “Tommy Lee” Owens of Pembroke; 4 nieces and 4 nephews; step- grandchildren, James Baker and Kambre Jenkins, along with many friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by Pastor Michael Malpass. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
