Timmy Ray Hunt

Timmy Ray Hunt, age 58 of Laurinburg, NC passed away on February 24, 2026.

He was born in Scotland County, NC on August 12, 1967, loving son of Yancey Junior Hunt and Louise Locklear Hunt. Timmy was an employee for many years with Carolina Crating until his health declined. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, and hunting. Timmy especially enjoyed being with his family and all their special times together. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by daughter, Brittany “Nicole” Hunt; and sister, Angie Hunt Leviner.

Timmy is survived by his son, Timothy Ray Quick of Laurel Hill; parents, Yancey and Louise Hunt of Laurinburg; siblings, Steve Anthony Hunt of Laurinburg, Yancey Junior Hunt, II of Marston, Ronald Ray Hunt of Laurinburg, and Jimmy Lynn Hunt of Laurel Hill; three grandchildren, Damion Quick, Chloe Quick, Blaze Quick; loving nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel followed by burial in the Laurinburg Memorial Park. Visitation will be prior to the service on Sunday beginning at 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
