Tilmer Pierce was born January 9, 1931 in Lillington, North Carolina, son of the late Henry Harrison Pierce and Rhoda Locklear Pierce. He had a long career as a roofer in the construction industry. He faithfully served as a member of the Aberdeen Church of God of Prophecy. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and being an outdoorsman. After a long illness, Tilmer passed to his Heavenly home at the age of 94 on November 21, 2025. He will deeply be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by sons, Dennis “Chuck” Pierce, Terry Glenn Pierce, Henry Weldon Pierce and Tilmer Pierce, Jr.; brothers, Richard “Abud”, Fletcher, James, William Plez, sisters, Elizabeth Taylor, Inez Locklear, Queenella Allen, Sallie Stone: half-brothers, John and Eulas; half-sisters, Addie Lee, Cordelia, Mary Helen, and Nurseane.
Tilmer is survived by son, Anthony Bullard of Maxton; brother, Clee Miller Pierce of Lumberton; sister, Margie Thompson of Wade; grandchildren, Shane, Steve, Johnny, Nathan, Kristen, Maranda, Nessie, Terry Lee, Shaina, Michael and Latoya. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2025 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25th at the Aberdeen Church of God of Prophecy followed by burial in the church cemetery.
