Terry Lee Woods, age 73 of Marston, passed away at the age of 73 on July 5, 2026. He will be deeply missed by all of his loved ones.
Born August 9, 1952, a loving son of the late Homer and Minnie McPherson Woods of Scotland County, NC. He was a hardworking man with a vast career beginning with Operating Engineers Local 147 in Norfolk, VA, then with Norfolk Dredging and finishing his career with Guardian Sewer and Drain Plumbing Services of Laurinburg until retiring. Terry enjoyed his quiet time fishing, watching football and NASCAR racing. Above all, he cherished his time spent with family.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Arnell Woods, Larry Ray Woods; sister, Patsy Pierce; and his beloved companion of twenty years, Betty Baxley.
Terry is survived by sons, Christopher Conner (Valerie) and Johnathon Conner both of Virginia; brothers, Homer Campbell, of Georgia, Melvin Woods (Janet), John Woods, Ricky Woods (Elaine), Ronald Woods, all of Virginia, and Ronnie Brewer of Maryland; grandchildren, Corey, Leah, Amaya; special niece and caregiver, Kay Shelton; along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Rev. Harry Clark. Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:00 until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to be given to FirstHealth Hospice House, 251Campgound Road, West End, NC 27376.
For family and friends in Virginia, a memorial service will be held on July 18, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Redeemed Church of God, 1300 Jackson Avenue, Chesapeake, VA 23324.
