Tammy Scott Kellogg, age 67 of Maxton, NC passed away on April 30, 2026.
She was born December 11, 1958 in Scotland County, loving daughter of the late Alexander Scott and the late Cleadis Locklear Scott. Tammy retired from the Scotland County Department of Social Services after many devoted years working as a case manager. She was a faithful member of Mt. Hebron Holiness Church in Maxton. Tammy enjoyed reading a good book, singing, listening to music, and was an avid Carolina Panthers football fan. Her greatest joy came from time spent with her family. Tammy was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ray Kellogg; parents, Alexander and Cleadis Scott; biological mother, Mandy Maggie Locklear; her daughter, Kola Nakema Kellogg Oxendine; grandson, Mickey Chandler Oxendine; siblings, Stevie Horace Locklear, Sequoria Locklear, Alex “June” Scott, Zula “Dab” Jones, Della Locklear.
Tammy is survived by her son, Jonathan Coty Kellogg of Maxton; daughter, Alisha Ashley Kellogg of Pembroke; siblings, Christina Strickland (Russell) of Pembroke, Wanda Locklear of Rowland, Bracey Scott (Ethel) of Maxton, Rhonda Scott (Tim) of Maxton, Shirley Scott of Maxton, Freida Scott (Steve) of Rowland, Lori Hunt (Willie) of Maxton, Lessie Locklear of Maxton; brother-in-law, Johnny Jones of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Jasmine Campbell (Quan), Taylor Haggans, Kaylan Haggans, Shayla Oxendine, Grace Haggans, Jayla Oxendine; and great-grandchildren, Isaiah Gage Locklear, Ella Olivia Haggans, and Bryson Elias Campbell; along with a host of loving extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2026 at Mt. Hebron Holiness Church followed by burial in Mt. Hebron Holiness Church Cemetery in Maxton.
A time of visitation will be held prior to the service on Monday beginning 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at the church.
