Stuart Randolph Tunstall, Jr.

Stuart Randolph Tunstall, Jr., age 42 of Mount Gilead, NC passed away on April 10, 2026.

He was born in Rockingham, NC on January 13, 1984, adored son of Randy and Sue Kendall Tunstall. Stuart enjoyed taking care of things that needed fixing and was a talented handyman. Stuart was an avid fisherman who enjoyed both fresh water and saltwater fishing, especially at Oak Island, NC. He also enjoyed hunting and had a love for all animals. Above all, he took great joy in spending time with his family and the memories they shared. Stuart will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Jack and Alma Kendall, Elmer Lee and Virginia Tunstall; aunts, Diane Honeycutt and Hazel Kendall.

Along with his parents, he is survived by son, Cameron Player of Hamlet; fiancé, Jennifer Smith; sisters, Suzy Walker of Whitsett; brother-in-law, Holt Walker; nephew and niece, Blake Walker, Lauren Walker; uncles, John Kendall of Mount Gilead, Tommy Tunstall (Nancy) of Hamlet; cousins, Jamie Kendall, Ellen Tunstall, Lee Tunstall, Jennie Tunstall all of Hamlet; special friend, Freida Nesbitt; his six adored fur babies, Daisy, Molly, Puk, Penny Kitty, CoCo, and Hershey; along with his many friends.

Memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Twin Harbor Worship Center.    A time of visitation will be held prior to the service on Sunday beginning 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the church.
