Mrs. Sheryl Bracey Clarke, beloved wife, mother, grandmother sister and devoted friend passed away to her Heavenly home at the age of 78 on October 29, 2025.
Sheryl was the loving daughter of the late Wiley Clinton “W.C.” Bracey, Jr., and the Martha Jean McRae Bracey born October 17, 1947 in Laurinburg, NC. Along with being a delightful homemaker, she worked many years with Pilkington Glass until her retirement. She faithfully served as a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bennettsville. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, caring for animals, and quiet time sitting on the front porch swing. Above all, Sherly adored her family and loved sharing time with each of them, especially her grandchildren.
Along with her parents, preceding her in death are sons, Stephen J. “Toby” McMillan and Aaron Clarke; brothers, Stephen Bracey and Skip Bracey.
She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Alfred Randolph Clarke of their home in McColl, SC; daughters, Jenny Rae Valdaliso (John) of Bennettsville, SC, Marla Clarke Barbee (Brent) of Rockingham, NC; brothers, David M. Bracey (Tish) of Durham, NC, Richard A. Bracey of Pittsboro, NC; sisters, Lynette “Lynde” Bracey of Pittsboro, NC, and Sandra Bracey of Marston, NC; grandchildren, Katie Locklear, Hayden Church, Thomas Barbee, Michael Barbee, Charles Ezzell, John Valdaliso, Jr., Finley McMillan, Danna Rae McMillan, Angel Frazier, and nine great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a host of loving family and her devoted friends.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel followed by burial in the Rogers Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Sunday beginning at 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
