Shelly Reese Locklear

Shelly Reese Locklear, age 46 of Laurinburg passed away Friday, July 12, 2019.

Shelly, a daughter of Tommy Reese and Janet Lovelady Reese was born August 19, 1972 in Texarkana, Texas.  She was the devoted wife of Marion Eugene Locklear and a great mother to their children.  She was a dedicated employee for the City of Laurinburg, and formerly with the medical office of Dr. Mann and Scotland Memorial Hospital Medical Records. Shelly loved the beach, music, reading and sharing time with her precious family.   

She is preceded in death by a son, Justin Tyler Locklear

Shelly leaves behind her husband, Marion “Rabbit” Locklear and children, Emily Grace Locklear and Jeremy Logan Locklear of the home; her parents, Janet L. Reese of Laurinburg and Tommy Reese of Laurel Hill; sisters, Gerri Lynn Reese of Albuquerque, NM and sister in-law, Jackie Thomas; her feline companion, Dobby the House Cat the Great, along with a host of loving family and friends.

Services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at the Laurel Hill United Methodist Church.  The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 4:00 p.m.   Burial will follow the service in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family requests for memorial donation to be given to the Humane Society of Scotland County, 1401 West Blvd, Laurinburg, NC  28352.
