Sharon Louise Klopp Franklin

Sharon Louise Franklin of Laurinburg, NC departed this life at the age of 68 on May 13, 2025.

She was born August 13, 1956 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Harold Sweigart and the late Grace Klopp. Sharon retired from the Campbell Soup Company working in the administration department for many devoted years. She served as a member of River of Life Ministries and loved to crochet and painting. Sharon cherished time spent with her family especially her grandchildren who fondly called her G-Maw. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Harrison Franklin, Jr.

Sharon is survived by her daughters, Desiree Lynn Franklin (Tina Strickland) of Southern Pines and Holly Alexanderia Franklin (Trae Phillips) of Laurinburg; grandchildren, Anthony Jernigan, Autumn Caulder, Jennaleigh Jernigan, Ashton Jernigan, and Thomas Phillips; along with her many devoted friends.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at the River of Life Ministries.  Visitation will be held prior to the services on Saturday beginning 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the church.
