Shannon Gene Haney

Shannon Gene Haney, age 42 of Laurinburg passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020.

Shannon was born February 8, 1978 in Tampa, Florida, son of Cathy Harrelson Ivey and the late David Gene Haney. He worked for Nichols Propane Gas Company. He attended New Hope Baptist Church, enjoyed motorcycles and working outside. Shannon most loved spending time with family and friends and will truly be missed by each of them.

Along with his father, he is preceded in death by brother, Jessie Haney.

Shannon is survived by wife, Amanda Willis Haney of Laurinburg; sons, Jessie Haney, Lacy Haney of Orlando, FL, Mark Locklear, Kaiden Deese, both of Lumberton, Colby Woodard, Shannon Haney, Jr., both of Laurinburg; daughter, Kaleen Haney of Laurinburg; mother, Cathy Ivey (Jeff) of California; brother, Christopher Haney; sister, Tiffany Haney of Laurinburg; four grandchildren, along with a host of extended family and friends.

A Memorial service will be at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2020 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by Rev. Michael Malpass. The family will receive friends following the service on Thursday, at the funeral home.

COVID-19 mandates require facial masks or coverings and limited attendance for all services.
