Sean William VanScyoc of Laurinburg passed away on October 5, 2024 at the age of 51 years old.
Sean was born November 24, 1972 in Mattoon, Illinois, a loving son of William “Butch” VanScyoc and Gail Scott VanScyoc. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed his career as a Sales Associate with Wal-Mart. Riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle brought Sean and Kelley many days of enjoyment. He was a talented singer and loved playing any string instrument. He also had a talent for woodworking, enjoyed golfing, fishing and especially a good game of shooting pool. Above all, Sean adored his family and loved sharing time with each of them especially with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. His joyful spirit and personality will dearly be missed by all who loved and knew him.
He is preceded in death by his daughters, Angel VanScyoc and Korin Michele VanScyoc Rose; granddaughter, Kaylee Faith VanScyoc; father-in-law, John Clancy and brother-in-law, Richard Clancy.
Sean is survived by his loving wife, Kelley Clancy VanScyoc of the home; sons, Kris VanScyoc (Stephanie) of Fayetteville, Ryan VanScyoc (Michelle) of Laurinburg, Joshua Rose and Jacob VanScyoc also of Laurinburg; his parents, Butch and Gail VanScyoc of Fayetteville; brother, Stephen VanScyoc (Jennifer) of Monks Corner, SC; sister, Stacey V. Dump (Robbie) of Stedman; mother-in-law, Michele Clancy of Florida; his adored grandchildren, Marilynn, Preston, Rowan, Charlie, Lola, Luna and Ethan; nieces and nephews, Stephen VanScyoc, Jr., Katelyn VanScyoc, Jonathan Dump, Korina Silvermane (Daniel); in addition to his extended family and many devoted friends.
The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday evening, October 14, 2024 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation with the family will be prior to the service beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
