Sarah Ivey Arrington Jolivette, age 84 of Benson, formerly of Laurinburg, passed away on December 20, 2024.
She was the loving daughter of the late Joseph Andrew Ivey and the late Carrie Maddox Ivey, born on May 15, 1940 in Maxton, NC. Sarah was a 1958 graduate of Maxton High School. She worked for L.O.F. Pilkington Glass for many devoted years in the clerical department and served as a member of Caledonia Methodist Church. Sarah enjoyed trips to the beach and laying out in the sun. Her greatest joy came from time spent with family and friends. Sarah will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jolivette; brothers, Ben Ivey, Lacey Ivey, John Ivey, Daniel Ivey; sisters, Sallie Tilson, Irene Mclean, and Margaret Gibson.
Left to cherish her memory is son, Andrew Allan Arrington (Betsy); daughters, Terry Arrington McCallum (Matt Sessler), Wanda Arrington Adams (Wayne); brother, Doug Ivey; sister, Mary “Sibby” McKenzie; grandchildren, Joe Lee McCallum (Amber Lejman), Aaron Faircloth, Markus Faircloth (Cody), Nick Arrington (Kaitlin), Josh Arrington (Jessie Phillips); great-grandchildren, Riley McCallum, Alexis Faircloth, Brook Faircloth, Landon Faircloth, Stevann Faircloth, Benelli Faircloth, Emma Arrington, Hadlee Arrington, Wrenlee Arrington, Olivia Arrington, and Madison King. She is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
The celebration of life memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2024 at the Caledonia Methodist Church. Visitation with the family will follow the service at the church.
