Sarah Logan Obituary

Sarah Terry Logan, 95, died on Thursday, November 26, 2020, at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg.

She was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1924 in Scotland County to Georgia Peele Terry and Wade Crawford Terry. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Hoyt Logan Sr, her brother, Thomas Charles “Bill” Terry, and her son, Cecil Hoyt Logan Jr.

She is survived by her children, Michael Terry “Mike” Logan (Elizabeth) of Pikeville, NC, and Wanda Logan Livingston (Alan), of Laurinburg; five grandchildren, Keith Logan, Mark Logan, Wade Logan, Keri Beth Livingston, and Katie Shester; and ten great grandchildren.

Sarah worked for Scotland County schools (over twenty years), at St. Andrews University (six years), for Scotland Memorial Hospital, and Scotia Village. She was an active member of Pilot International since she joined in 1975, serving as local president and district governor, among other offices. She was also involved with the North Carolina Association of Educational Office Personnel, The Scotch Gardeners, and was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church for over 65 years.

Services will be held graveside at 2pm on Sunday, November 29, 2020 in Hillside Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the NC Pilot District Scholarship Fund c/o Kay Pendarvis, Treasurer, 111 Parmer St., Forest City, NC 28043 or to Scotland Regional Hospice, P.O. Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28353.
