Ruby Joyce Hudson Jones

Ruby Joyce Jones, age 80 of Lenoir, NC, formerly of Lauirnburg, NC, passed away on April 12, 2026.

Born in Richmond County, NC, on September 30, 1945, she was the daughter of Julian and Ruby Hudson Roscoe.  She was preceded in death by her father; son, Phillip Brian Jones, and faithful companion, Gerald Gainey. 

Ruby is survived by her children, Vonda Burns and Susan Jones; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; siblings, Lucinda Taylor, Billie Page Roscoe, Jeff Roscoe and her mother, Ruby Roscoe. 

A service to celebrate her life will be held at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. followed by burial in Hillside Memorial Park.   The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
