Ruben Gene Langley, Jr.

Ruben Gene Langley Jr., age 44 of Maxton, NC, passed away on September 25, 2022.

He was born in Scotland County, NC on March 12, 1978 to Ruben Gene Langley, Sr., and Suzette Maynor Langley.  Ruben worked in customer service with the Valet Cleaners of Southern Pines.  He attended Gray Pond Baptist Church, enjoyed tinkering with cars and watching NASCAR races. Ruben had an outgoing personality, always telling jokes, loved to dance, and engage in a game of billiards. He was a devoted father, son, brother, and friend who will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Leroy Langley, Jetter Maynor; grandmothers, Essie Sutton, Garnetta Maynor; uncles, Isaac Langley, Robin Langley, Donavan Maynor; and nephew, Braxton McNeil.

He is survived by his daughter, Kailyn Shea Stutts of Laurinburg; parents, Ruben and Suzette Langley of Maxton; brother, Frankie Quick of Hamlet; sisters, Chasity McNeill (Ernest) of Raeford, and Tonia Huckabee of Cheraw, SC; aunt, Patricia McGirt of Chattanooga, TN; those loved as brothers, James Ray Dunn and Chris Nicholson; along with a host of loving family and many friends.

Services to be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following the service in Laurinburg Memorial Park.    A time of visitation will be held prior to the services on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
