Obituary
Rose Mary Bird Brownlee “Morning Dove”, age 94 of Laurinburg, NC and formerly of Bakersfield, California gained her wings on August 1, 2023.
Rose was the loving daughter of the late Thomas and Ethel Redding Bird born September 23, 1928 in Seminole, Oklahoma. After retirement she devoted her time to enjoying life to the fullest. She was well known to be everyone’s “Granny” and was very proud of her six generations. To meet Rose was to love her. She will truly be missed.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her only son, Eddie Leo Brown.
Rose is survived by her only daughter, Rozetta Gulledge of the home in Laurinburg, NC; grandchildren, Lonnie Allen Tiller II (Denise), Vicki Hunt (Tim), Patrick Headley (Jennifer), Eddie Leo Brown, Jr., (Barbara), Michael Brown, Kimberly McRae (Drew), Josh Brown, Thomas Brown, and Brittany Brown; ten great-grandchildren; fourteen great-great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Vickie Brown; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A Memorial Service is being planned for a later date in Oklahoma.
