Ronald "Ron" Keith Harris

Ronald "Ron" Keith Harris, age 60 of Wadesboro, NC passed away on February 7, 2025 at the Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taylorsville, NC.

He was born May 23, 1964 in New Port News, VA, son of the late Willie J. Harris and Elva Muse Harris. Ron was a proud Veteran of the United States Marines. He worked as a Captain Level III with the North Carolina Department of Corrections for many dedicated years where he took his profession and care of his fellow co-workers very serious. He loved time spent with his family especially his grandchildren, loved teaching his children about the outdoors, and dancing with his grandchildren. Ron will be greatly missed and remembered for his love and devotion to his family, friends, and his career.

Along with his parents, preceding him in death is granddaughter, Maddy Pate.

Ron is survived by his wife, Danette Clark Harris of the home; sons, Randy F. Davis, Jr., (Ashley) of Laurinburg, John “Tyler” Clark of Wadesboro, Zachary Keith Harris (Ralena) of Gibson; daughters, Miranda L. Corry (Russell) of Shelby, Brittany H. Taylor of Swansboro; brother, Willie Harris of Japan; sister, Shari Jordan of Gibsonton, FL;  special friend, Joe Brown of Rockingham; and fourteen adored grandchildren; along with a host of loving family and many friends.

The memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel.   

Visitation with the family will follow the service at the funeral home and other times at the family home.
