Ronald Lee Locklear

Ronald Lee Locklear, age 69 of Red Springs, NC passed away on May 15, 2025.

He was born in Scotland County, NC, on March 8, 1956, son of the late Edmond Locklear, Sr., and the late Martha Lee Jackson Locklear. Ronald was a valued employee of St. Andrews University working in the maintenance department for many years. In his younger years, he was a talented baseball player who loved playing the game.  He has always loved and cherished spending time with his family. Ronald was an adored brother, uncle, and devoted friend who will be greatly missed.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Terry Wayne Locklear; and sisters, Geraldine Pierce, Mildred Locklear, Barbara Locklear, Ruth Lee Locklear and Bethany Chavis.

Ronald is survived by his brothers, Edmond Locklear (Wanda) and Robert “Mitchell” Locklear each of Laurinburg; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 19, 2025 at Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in the Youth for Christ Holiness Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
