Rodney "Ryan" Sheppard

Rodney “Ryan” Sheppard, age 48 of Laurinburg passed away on June 4, 2021.

Ryan was the son of Richard Sheppard and Sarah Hewitt Sheppard born July 25, 1972 in Scotland County.  He was a proud United States Marine Corps Veteran and loved his career as a Relay Technician working with Duke Energy Progress.  Ryan served as a member of Huckabee Grove Emanuel Holiness Church.  He enjoyed playing the Fortnite computer game with his children, traveling, listening to his music, and above all, watching all of his children play sports.  Ryan was a true family man who loved sharing time with all of his family.   

He leaves behind his loving wife, Leslie Lynn Anderson Sheppard of the home; sons, Joshua Sheppard (Tabitha) of Maxton, Hunter Sheppard and Holden “Chase” Sheppard both of Laurinburg; daughters, Kinsley Sheppard, Kadence Sheppard; adopted daughter, Jasmine Locklear each of Laurinburg; his Parents, Richard and Sarah Sheppard of Maxton; a brother, Jeff Sheppard (Betsy) of Laurinburg; his adoring grandchild, Anakin Sheppard; nephew, Andrew Sheppard; niece; Emily Sheppard along with a host of loving family and many friends.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Rev. Matthew Haynes.  Committal service with military honors will follow the service in Hillside Memorial Park.   The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Monday even at the funeral home.
