Robert Shaw Sessoms

Robert Shaw Sessoms, age 65 of Hamlet, passed away on February 19, 2021.

Robert was born July 19, 1955 to the late Willie Shaw Sessoms and Ruth Bennett Sessoms of Scotland County.  He retired after many years with sales in the Automotive Parts Industry.  He had a vast knowledge of cars especially Hot Rods. He had an outgoing personality, never met a stranger and was always willing to help others in need.  Robert always enjoyed sharing time with his family and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Gloria “Diane” Wiggins Sessoms; brother, Eugene Sessoms; sisters, Annie Ruth Waters and Betty Sue Sessoms.

Robert is survived by his only daughter, Tabitha Henry (Terry) of Temecula, CA and grandchildren, Rhiannon Henry and Amanda Henry.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in Pinecrest Cemetery.  The family will have a time of viewing prior to services from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home following Covid-19 restrictions of facial mask and social distancing.
