Robert Locklear

Robert Locklear, age 57 of Maxton, NC departed this life on July 19, 2025.

Born in Scotland County, NC on April 30, 1968, Robert was the loving son of Christine Bullard Locklear and the late Willie Douglas Locklear. He was a talented carpenter working in the construction industry for many years. Robert faithfully attended Light of Truth Holiness Church. He enjoyed building masterpieces for others, being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and farming his garden. Robert often helped the State of North Carolina and families with cemetery services. He was a loving husband, adored father, grandfather, devoted son, brother, and friend who will truly be missed.

Along with his father, he is preceded in death by brother, Michael Locklear, and his sister, Katrina Locklear.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Stephanie Hunt Locklear of the home; sons, Michael Douglas Locklear and Robert Douglas Locklear both of the home; mother, Christine Locklear of Laurinburg; brother, Mitchell Locklear (Crystal) of Maxton; grandchildren, Michael “Mike” Douglas Locklear and Mohanna Lynn Locklear; along with many loving extended family and friends.

Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday evening July 22, 2025 beginning at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the home of his mother, Christine Locklear, 22143 Lee's Mill Road, Laurinburg, NC  28352. 

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Light of Truth Holiness Church in Maxton with burial following in the Locklear Family Cemetery.
