Ricky Errol Greer, Sr.

Mr. Ricky Errol Greer, Sr., age 74 of Lumberton passed away on March 22, 2025.

He was born July 5, 1950 in Washington D.C. the only son of the late James Robert Greer, Sr., and the late Margaret Virginia Skinner Greer. Ricky loved his work as a subcontractor, working in the construction industry for many dedicated years. He enjoyed tinkering around the house, was an avid NASCAR racing fan, and loved to watch a good western show on television. Ricky will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory is wife, Linda Sue Dunavant Greer of the home; sons, Ricky Greer, Jr., of Florida, James Greer (Maria) of Columbia, SC, Clinton Greer of Lumberton; daughters, Melissa Metcalf (Kevin) of Maxton, Angela Greer of Lumberton, Stephanie Greer of Lumberton, Jennifer Fuller of Fuquay-Varina, Daisy Greer of Maxton, and Victoria Greer of Lumberton; three sisters, Joyce, Pamela, and Amber; eighteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; along with a host of loving extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel following by burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Maxton, NC.     Visitation will be held prior to services on Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
