Richard Wentworth Obituary

Richard James Wentworth was born November 7, 1946, son of the late Frank James Wentworth and Gertrude Louise Robinson Wentworth. Richard was a Veteran who proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Richard had a distinguished career as Investigator with the National Transportation Safety Board. Throughout his lifetime, he enjoyed gardening, golfing, and playing cards. He will truly be missed by his family and friends. Richard passed away at the age of 75 on May 9, 2022.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings.

Richard leaves behind his loving wife of thirty-one years, Christine Nickerson Wentworth of the home; son, Evan Brooks Wentworth (Corrine) of Silver Springs, MD; daughter, Sarah Stark (Ray) of Ashburn, VA, along with his adoring grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.

A private interment will be planned for a later date.
