Richard Sinclair Reynolds

Mr. Richard Sinclair Reynolds, age 83 of Laurinburg, NC departed this life for his eternal home on May 9, 2023.  Born on January 12, 1940 in Columbus County, NC, the adored son of the late Donnie Ethell Reynolds and the late Daisey White Smith.

Richard was a longtime employee of L.O.F. / Pilkington Glass in Laurinburg for many dedicated years until his retirement.  He enjoyed listening to Bluegrass music at Uncle Danny’s in Laurel Hill on Thursday evenings.  Richard loved to sit and talk with all the folks, especially at McDonalds. His greatest joy was spending time with his family who remembers him as the one who “liked to joke, smoke, and drink a coke”. He was a simple man that enjoyed simple pleasures who will truly be missed.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sarah Frances Troublefield Reynolds; sons, Richard Davey Reynolds, Donnie Earl Reynolds; along with a sister and his two brothers.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Cynthia Lynn Reynolds Patterson (Kennedy Locklear) of Laurinburg, NC; grandchildren, Chelsea Patterson, Stephanie Patterson, Christopher David Reynolds, Sherri Anne Acevedo, Jennifer D. Montanez, Eric C. Reynolds, Victoria Frances Scott; and sixteen great grandchildren; and a special cousin, Patricia Ann Newton of Florence, SC; along with a host of loving extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in Hillside Memorial Park officiated by Matthew Haynes.

Visitation will be prior to the service on Friday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
