Richard Morgan

Richard Glenn Morgan, age 76 of Laurel Hill, NC passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024.

He was born September 16, 1948 in Scotland County, NC, loving son of the late Archie Morgan, Sr., and the late Mary Norton Morgan. Richard worked for many years as a Machine Shop Operator with Goodwin Machine Shop until retiring. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid sports fan, especially of football and basketball. Richard will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Henry Morgan, Charles Morgan, Woodrow Morgan, Claude Morgan, Archie Morgan, Jr.; sisters, Beulah Weinreis, Elizabeth Teal, Catherine Britt.

Richard is survived by his daughters, Rose Marie Morgan and Mary Jo Pigegt; and three grandchildren; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Tabernacle Spirit Church of Ghio with burial following at Hillside Memorial Park. 

The visitation will be held prior to the services from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the church.
