Randy Gene Smith

Randy Gene Smith, age 63 of Wagram passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the East Laurinburg Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Richard Tyson.  Burial will follow in Midway Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Randy was a son of the late Bennie James Smith and Ida Grainger Smith born February 1, 1955 in Scotland County.  He enjoyed his work as a truck driver and being a member of the East Laurinburg Baptist Church.  His favorite hobbies was fishing, hunting and watching NASCAR Racing.   A devoted husband, brother, uncle and friend, Randy will truly be missed.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Terry Wayne Smith and Bennie James Smith, Jr.

Randy leaves behind his wife of 28 years, Shirley Thompson Smith of their home; his sisters, Brenda Smith Knight (Raymond) and Barbara Smith Knight along with his loving nieces, nephews and furry baby, Kid-Kid.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2019 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
