Ramona Kelly Hedgpeth

Ramona Kelly Hedgpeth, age 82, formerly of Laurinburg passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020.

Ramona was a loving daughter of the late Thurman Hutaff Kelly and Dorothy Turlington Kelly, born April 21, 1938 in Hope Mills, North Carolina.  She held several positions and retired after many years of service with Bellsouth.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she loved singing in the choir and playing piano for Sunday School Class.  Ramona was a devoted homemaker who loved cooking, baking and working in her yard.  Her happiest times were those spent with family, especially with grandchildren. 

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by brother, Ed Kelly, and sister, Sue Casanova.

She is survived by her son, Jim Hedgpeth, Jr., (Deedra) of Southern Pines; her daughter, Kelly Hedgpeth of Holden Beach; former husband and lifelong friend, Jim Hedgpeth, Sr., of Laurinburg; her adoring grandchildren, Chase Stubbs, Jackson Stubbs, Emily Millikin; great grandchildren, Ilana Stubbs, Aubree  Mahar along with her many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2020 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Rev. Richard Tyson.   Family will receive friends prior to services on Monday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Richard Boles Funeral Service.  Private interment will be at a later date.

Due to COVID-19 mandates, to ensure public safety, attendance for services will be limited.
