Rachel McCormick Beane

 Rachel McCormick Beane, age 92 of Laurinburg peacefully departed this life for her Heavenly home on Saturday, April 30, 2022.

 One of nine children, Rachel was the loving daughter of the late James Duncan McCormick and Harriet Webster McCormick born April 11, 1930 in Robeson County, North Carolina.  She was a wonderful mother of six children and blessed with her adoring grandchildren.  She had a special love of caring for children dedicating her time as owner of Tender Loving Care Daycare until retiring.  She faithfully served as a member of St. John United Methodist Church.  Loved and known by many, Rachel made an impression on all she encountered.  Her legacy of love will remain as she will truly be missed.

 Along with her parents, a granddaughter, Katina Diann Beane; brothers, James Duncan McCormick, Jr., Samuel Ray McCormick and sisters, Alma McGirt, Kathleen MacLean, Margaret Paul, Ethel Briles, Ruth Rabenhorst, and Mildred Perkins preceded her in death.

 Surviving are her children, son, Floyd Colvin Beane, Jr., (Kay) of Laurinburg; daughters, Alice “Diann” Beane of Laurinburg, Sandra Badiola of Gibson, Debora “Debbie” Johnson (Chris) of Rutherfordton, Georgia Dee Beane and Jackie Lee Beane both of Gibson; grandchildren, Jason Badiola, Joshua Badiola, Christopher C. Johnson, Jonathan Johnson, Phillip Scott Johnson, and great grandchildren, Ryan Badiola and Addison Grace Johnson.  She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and a host of loving family.

 Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 in Hillside Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Harold Hunt, joined by Rev. Rufus Butner, Rev. Joe Wilkes, and Rev. J.B. Loving.    The family will have a time of visitation prior to the service on Tuesday from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Richard Boles Funeral Service.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be given to Scotland Regional Hospice or St. John United Methodist Church.
