Polly Ann Kersey Grissom was born March 31, 1943 in Bennettsville, SC, a loving daughter of the late Sanford Lane “S.L.” Kersey and the late Martha Louise Peele Kersey. She dedicated her life to the love and care of her family as a homemaker. She enjoyed attending and serving at Northview Harvest Ministries. Polly also enjoyed playing Bingo, fishing, traveling to the mountains and loved Christmas lights. She adored her family and truly cherished time shared with each of them. At the age of 82, Polly departed this life for her Heavenly home on the evening of October 31, 2025. She will deeply be missed by all of her loved ones.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by son, Ernest Wayne Driggers; daughter, Martha Suzanne Kersey Blackwell; and sister, Patsy Kersey Bealsey.
Polly is survived by her sons, Mitchell Davis (Bridget Carter) of Laurel Hill, and Michael Kersey (Marlena) of Laurinburg; her sister, Peggy Troxell (David) of Laurinburg; a host of adored grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her devoted caregiver and guardian angel, Jackie Smith.
The memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. in the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. The family will have a time of visitation prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00 at the funeral home.
