Phillip Edward Chavis

Phillip Edward Chavis passed away at the age of 61 on April 9, 2022.   He was the loving son of the late Zeb Edward Chavis and Martha Ann Roller Chavis born December 28, 1960 in Scotland County.  Phillip was the loving and devoted husband to the late Wanda Jones Chavis who preceded him in in death January 2022.  His life work was in electrical technology, he loved fishing, cars and tinkering on anything.  His loved ones will remember Phillip for his devotion to his family and cherish his legacy of love.

Surviving are his children, sons, Kenneth Ray Jones of Maxton, Chad Chavis (Diana) of Laurinburg; and daughter, Ashley Chavis Davis (Bo) of Laurinburg; sister, Teresa Southerland of Wilmington; grandchildren, Anthony Chavis, Madison Pate, Paige Pate, Zeb Thunder Chavis, along with a host of loving family and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Rev. Howard Locklear.  Burial will follow the service in the Smithtown Church of God Cemetery.   A time of visitation will be prior to the service on Wednesday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
