Paul Monroe Douglas, Sr., age 88 of formerly of Laurel Hill passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020.
Paul was born March 29, 1932 in Scotland County, son of the late George Franklin Douglas, Sr. and Parana Bullard Douglas. He proudly served as a Veteran in the United States Army. He was owner and operator of Douglas Printing Company of High Point and retired after many years of service. Work was Paul’s passion, and in his leisure, he enjoyed watching Westerns on television, and sharing time with family and friends. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.
Paul is survived by his wife, Doris McGee Douglas; son, Paul Monroe Douglas, Jr.; daughters, Maxine Robertson, and Donna Douglas; brothers, George Douglas, Jr., Winfred Douglas; sisters, Helen Douglas Ward, Joanne Douglas Vanhoy, and Christine Douglas, along with a host of loving family and friends.
A Memorial Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020 in Hillside Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Greg Davenport.
