Paul Graham Coble, Sr. was born April 4, 1945 the eldest son of Paul and Virginia Dunn Coble of Richmond County, North Carolina. He was a devoted family man who put the love of family first. He had a distinguished career in manufacturing management working many years with John-Manville Corporation until his retirement. He faithfully served the Lord and has been an active member of the Maxton Fresh Manna Pentecostal Holiness Church since 1959. He faithfully served on the Official Board several times. His ministry was cutting the church property weekly as long as he was physically able. Paul enjoyed golfing, bowling and working in his yard, but mainly supervising everyone else working in the yard. One of his favorite hobbies was adding to his collection of John Deere Tractors and memorabilia. Paul’s greatest joy was sharing time with his family. He departed this life for his Heavenly home on April 30, 2022 leaving a legacy of love for all of his loved ones.
Preceding him in death along with his parents are daughter-in-law, Sharon Coble; brother, David Earl “Hank Coble and sister, Brenda Lois Coble.
Paul leaves behind his loving wife, Ann Walters Coble of their home; sons, Paul Graham ‘Gray” Coble, Jr., of Wilmington, NC, Lee Coble (Flynnette) of Clinton, NC, Mark Coble (Barbie) of Chattanooga, TN; brothers, Rev. L.M. “Mike” Coble (Elizabeth) of Maxton, Robert ‘Greg” Coble (Kathy) of Maxton, Kenneth “Ken” Coble (Diane) of Laurinburg; sisters, Patricia “Pat” Coble Smith (John) and LuWayne Coble Butler both of Laurinburg; sister-in-law, Cindy Warwick; his grandchildren, Ashley White, Miranda Cholette, Lauryn Jaeb, Graham Coble, John Mark Coble, Jodie Coble, and the (7th grandchild) Sydnee Dial; six great grandchildren, Grant, Emily Graham, Savannah Ann, Owen, Benaiah, and Liam. He is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family, his church family and special K9 companion, JoJo.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the Maxton Fresh Manna Pentecostal Holiness Church officiated by Rev. Timmy Hunt and Rev. Mike Coble. Burial will follow the service in Hillside Memorial Park. There will be a time of visitation prior to the service on Thursday from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the church.
The family requests memorial donations be given in Paul’s memory to the Maxton Fresh Manna Pentecostal Holiness Church Building Fund.
