Patsy Troublefield Maley

Patsy Troublefield Maley, devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, entered into her Heavenly home at the age of 74 on May 3, 2025. She will deeply be missed all who loved and were blessed to know her.

Born October 10, 1950, Patsy was the loving daughter of the late Wilson and Lena “Skeet” Troublefield Stubbs of Laurinburg, North Carolina.  She cherished her family and others always striving to help everyone in need.   Patsy loved sharing in conversation with everyone she encountered always with uplifting and encouraging words.  She was proud of her career as a telephone operator for over 45 years of service retiring from BellSouth Communications. Her front porch swing was also a favorite place of conversation with family and friends.

Pasty was a Godly woman who faithfully served Christ who lived as an example of His love.  She loved her church faithfully serving as a member of the East Laurinburg Baptist Church.  She loved and adored her sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren, sharing time with each of them gave her true blessings of joy.  

Along with her parents, preceding her in death is sister, Faye Troublefield Hayes.

Patsy leaves to cherish her memory sons, Joseph “Joey” Edward Maley, Sr., Jeffrey Allen Maley and wife Jenna each of Laurinburg; five grandchildren, Kayla M. Sisler, Morgan M. Miller, Joseph Edward Maley, Jr., Jeffrey Allen Maley, Jr., John Luke Maley; three great grandchildren, Asher, Kaiden and Madelyn; her siblings, Bobby Troublefield and wife Earletha, Michael Lee Stubbs, Wanda Stubbs Wensil and husband Bill.  She is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family, church family and many friends.

Visitation will be on Tuesday evening, May 6, 2025 at the East Laurinburg Baptist Church.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at the East Laurinburg Baptist Church.  Burial will be private at a later time.
