Patricia Troublefield Currie, age 73 of Laurinburg, passed away on October 29, 2024.
She was born April 18, 1951 only child of the late Joe Otis Troublefield and the late Ruby Haywood Troublefield of Marlboro County, SC. Patricia worked as an inventory controller with WestPoint Stevens Inc., for many devoted years until retiring. She faithfully served as a member of Lutheran Church of the Living Word. Patricia enjoyed anything sports related, especially softball, volleyball, and bowling. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her adored husband, Wilhelm “Bill” Currie.
Left to rejoice in her memory are sons, William “Buddy” Currie and wife, Celeste of Laurel Hill, and Jason Lee Currie and wife, Donna Lynn of Lumberton; daughter, Tracy Stricklin and husband, Johnny of Laurinburg; grandchildren, Ashley Mitchell, Taylor Currie, Travis Stricklin, Jason Currie, Jr., Madison Currie, Caleb Smith, Jon Ivey, Brandon McLendon, Garrett Dowless, Tatelyn Dowless; great-grandchildren, Lucas Ivey, Alyanna Madera, Noah Hicks, Natalie Smith, Mila Smith, Saylor Phillips, Layla Phillips, Kinslee Currie, Malcolm Meyer, Kerrigan Young, Kyson Dowless; along with her loving extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Rev. Linda Nelson and Rev. Richard Tyson. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2024 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
