Patricia Rye Cox

Patricia Rye Cox, loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother passed away at the age of 75 on November 8, 2024.

She was the daughter of the late Franklin F. and Martha Stewart Rye born May 25, 1949 in Scotland County, NC.  She loved being a homemaker along with working with Z.V. Pate, Inc. for many years. She cherished her family and their time shared together.  Patricia also enjoyed her time gardening and fishing.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Jack Rye, Fred Rye, Johnny Rye, Rodney Rye; sisters, Betty Lighthall and Isolene Smith.

Patricia is survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, Zeb Cox of their home; children, Robert Mahoney, Jr., of Pennsylvania, Robin Brigman (Larry) of Wallace, SC., Candice Fite (Jamie) of Rock Hill, SC; step sons, Ricky Cox of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jamie Cox of Chesterfield, SC, Chris Cox of Wallace, SC; sister, Barbara Bunnell; her adored seven grandchildren, Asley Fite, Meghan Fite, Kaitlyn Fite, Heather Sowell, Holley Brigman, Brittany Mahoney, Ethan Mahoney and three great grandchildren.  She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

A private graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the Lighthouse Ministry Cemetery, Wallace, SC.
